The ICSA examinations can be studied at the SAICSA Training Centre. Information on courses will be send to all registered students at appropriate times of the year.

The time you will need to spend on each module will vary depending upon the method of study chosen and your familiarity with the subject area. However we recommend that you spend between 90 to 150 hours on each module.

To help you prepare the examinations the Association also publishes the reading lists. These will be given to all students upon registration.

Professional Programme

Key Objective:

To develop knowledge and understanding in the key areas of administration, finance, law and management, and an appreciation of their impact upon, and relationship to organisational effectiveness.

Key Purpose:

The chartered Secretary has a pro-active role, acting in the best interest of client, customer or employer, maintaining professional standards and employing best practice.

The qualification provides a depth of professional knowledge across a wide range of business and organisational contexts at post-graduate and post experience level.

The Professional Programmes comprises two parts, each of which contains four compulsory modules as follows:

Part I

- Strategic and Operations Management
- Financial Accounting
- Singapore Taxation
- Corporate Law

Part II

- Corporate Administration
- Corporate Financial Management
- Corporate Secretaryship
- Corporate Governance

Entry Level



Notes:
  • There are two examination sittings per year - May/June and Nov/Dec.


  • Students are allowed to attempt a maximum of two papers in any examination sitting.


  • Students have to pass Professional Programme Part I before proceeding to Professional Programme Part II.


  • Graduate certificates will be given after completion of the Professional Programme Part II of the ICSA examinations.


  • If students fail any papers, they will have to re-sit the papers in the next examination sitting.


  • The above requirements also applies to all papers.


  • Students need to pay studentship renewal fee to maintain on the student register.


  • The studentship renewal fee will be waived if students register for examinations continually.
